The successful candidate will be required to complete the Cremator Technicians Training Scheme qualification, which is usually achieved within the first three months. You will also need to undertake appropriate training in the safe use of gardening equipment. Some training may take place at other LCC sites and could involve travel and occasional overnight stays. Any reasonable expenses incurred as a result will be covered by the Company.
Responsibilities:
Operate the process of cremation with professionalism and empathy.
Ensure that the crematory is maintained as a safe, clean and workable environment.
Prepare the chapel for each service, removing and replacing orders of service, check microphones and music is ready and ensure the chapel is clean and tidy.
Liaise with other departments, mourners, clergy and funeral directors.
To escort mourners in and out of the chapel, assisting with queries during the service if required.
Carryout a range of tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting and weeding.
Assisting with the maintenance of memorial spaces to ensure they remain clean, respectful and presentable.
Assisting with the construction and maintenance of memorials.
Be fully conversant with the Company's health and safety policy, ensuring compliance at all times.
