24th March 2020
As the Covid-19 outbreak continues to develop, I want to reassure you The London Cremation Company’s priority is to continue to provide the very highest quality of service to our clients while protecting the health and wellbeing of our staff and visitors. As you would expect, we have taken a number of proactive steps in both regards.
We are making decisions based on official advice from Government and health authorities for our crematoria at: London – Golders Green and St Marylebone, East Finchley; Surrey – Woking; Oxfordshire – Banbury; Kent – Sittingbourne and Gravesend and have gone further where we believe it is the responsible thing to do.
Please note with immediate effect all our garden grounds are closed to the general public and all visitors.
The general public will be able to attend funerals only.
Funerals can be attended by immediate family only and no more than 10 mourners.
No staff have recently travelled to any high risk countries or have knowingly been in direct contact with anyone who has. Additionally, all staff members are required to follow recently issued Government guidelines and if they are showing any symptoms to identify themselves and self-isolate.
We have prepared extensively to ensure we can maintain service levels should, as increasingly seems likely, our people and teams need to work remotely or become ill in the coming weeks and months.
I want to reassure you that the plans we have put in place are designed to minimise the impact on our clients and staff while continuing to conduct business as usual.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this difficult and unprecedented time.
